Nursery Curriculum
At Cornelia International Schools, our Nursery programme follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, providing a rich blend of play-based learning and structured activities for children aged 2–4. We focus on developing early literacy, numeracy, creativity, and social skills in a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and inspired to explore. Through engaging lessons, hands-on experiences, and personalised attention, we lay strong foundations for a lifetime of learning and success.

OUR CURRICULUM
At Cornelia International Schools, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a vital first step in every child’s learning journey, laying the groundwork for academic, social, and emotional success. Our EYFS programme spans from Pre-Nursery to Reception (ages 2–5), offering a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children learn through play, exploration, and guided discovery.
Our curriculum is based on the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which sets clear standards for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to age 5. It is thoughtfully adapted to include elements of the Nigerian curriculum, ensuring that our children benefit from both global best practices and local cultural relevance.
The EYFS curriculum is organised into seven areas of learning grouped into two categories:
1. Prime Areas
-
Communication and Language
-
Physical Development
-
